BISE announces SSC supplementary exam's results

SARGODHA – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Friday announced the result of Secondary School Certificate supplementary examinations 2014.

According to the BISE press release a total of 7100 candidates (Girls and Boys) participated in the examination of which 4074 succeeded with 57.38 per cent pass percentage. The results of regular students have been dispatched to their respective institutions while the private candidate's results have been posted at their addresses.

The results can also be seen on BISE website www.bisesargodha.edu.pk.

Students protest delay in result declaration (students of Islamabad Model Postgraduate College)

Islamabad - The students of Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8, staged a protest on Wednesday against Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU)administration for its failure to announce the annual results of BA/B.Sc Part-I 2014 on time.
The examinations of BA/BSc Part-I were conducted in June 2014 by the university. As the excessive delay of BA/B.Sc Part-I results has mounted anxiety among the students, they boycotted their classes for one period and came out of their classrooms and gathered in front of the office of college principal.
Principal Professor Khurshid Ahmed Shakoori came out of his office and pacified the students and sent them back to the classrooms with the promise that he would talk to the university authorities for early declaration of result.
Fahad Raza, a student of BA, said, “Too late announcement of result would increase the burden of study because if I fail in some papers of part-I, there will be very short time available for me to prepare both the subjects of 4th year and 3rd year.”
There is no clear promotion policy of the university as well, complained another student, Muhammad Usman, adding, “We were temporarily promoted to 4th year. If someone fails to pass some subjects of the 3rd year, no one knows will he continue studies in 4th year or he will be dropped?”
Another student Shehzad Bashir alleged, “The fee structure of QAU is much higher than any other university but output is zero.” It is not the first time as last year too, QAU had caused delay in announcement of results. The university declared the BA/B.Sc result in September and the future of a number of students, who successfully cleared their exams, was at stake because they were unable to apply for admissions in various universities of the country due to excessive delay in result declaration and discrepancies in mark sheets, he added.
According to information, the number of students in BA/BSc/BCom is less than 5000, for which the university has taken almost 6 months.
Complaints of delays and mismanagement have become almost a routine matter since the Islamabad capital territory colleges have been affiliated with the university after devolution in 2012.
Before the devolution of education, Punjab University used to conduct college examinations.

QAU fails to announce complete results again

ISLAMABAD: Even after the lapse of another deadline, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) could not announce the complete results of BA/BSc.
The QAU was supposed to announce the already delayed results of BA/BSc Part I on Friday. Originally, the results were supposed to be issued in September. However, the university on Friday came out with the results of BA Part I and fixed another deadline for the BSc results.

It may be noted that 15 Islamabad-based government colleges, which were earlier affiliated with the Punjab University, were given under the QAU in 2012. But so far, the country’s top university has failed to put in place a proper mechanism to announce the results on time.
On the other hand, the Punjab University has been issuing the combined results of BA/BSc in August every year, providing sufficient time to the students to take admissions in next classes in universities of their choice.
In September, the QAU announced the results of BA/BSc Part II, claiming that it would release the Part I results next week.

SSC part-I, II: FBISE announces supplementary results

ISLAMABAD:  The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Monday declared the supplementary results of Secondary School Certificate Part-I and Part-II exams.

A total of 25,295 regular and private candidates appeared in the exams of which 14,937 were declared successful with a pass ratio of 59.05 per cent.

According to the results, a total of 17,678 candidates appeared in the Science group, of them 12,196 passed the exam. In the Humanities group, a total of 2,739 candidates appeared in the exam of them 1,325 passed. PHOTO STOCK

The result cards of regular candidates were being dispatched to their respective institutions while those of private candidates were being dispatched on their home addresses, said a press release issued by the board.
Result cards of overseas candidates were being sent to the head of institutions from where they appeared and result cards of candidates belonging to Gilgit-Baltistan were being sent to the FBISE’s sub-office in Gilgit.

This year, around seven cases of unfair means were also reported.

Business community opposes PTI call to shut cities

Islamabad—Business and traders community on Friday rejected call of PTI Chairman, Imran Khan to shut main cities, saying they oppose such a move which will hinder investment and weaken national economy. Lahore, Karachi and Faisalabad are the main industrial cities of the country and Imran’s call to block these cities is very disappointing. These three cities are the main hub of country’s economy, said Acting President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCI), Muhammad Shakeel Muneer.

Talking to media here, he said both people and trade unions have rejected the call of PTI Chief, adding that “We do not think to shut our industries even in worse situation. We all need to focus on improvement of national economy for betterment of common man.” “Pakistani nation should have to think that Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has been working on agenda to destroy the economy,” he said. Shakeel further said that business community has rejected the call of Imran Khan, adding some of his own party’s leaders are against his decision.

All Pakistan Traders Association (APTA), President Ajmal Baloch said that trader community has been targeted by Imran Khan. Economy of the country has been coming on right track after better economic policies of present government. Such calls would create hurdles on the way to progress; he said and added the nation should have to think that Imran Khan has been working on agenda to disturb the economy
